The Cavalli label was founded by Roberto Cavalli in 1970 and has been synonymous with glam, rock, and animal prints. Cavalli is even credited with pioneering the sand-blasted jean look which has become the standard in modern fashion. Early on in his career he caught the attention of Hermes and received much-coveted commissions. His first boutique was opened in 1972 - age 32. He has gone on to design many things besides sunglasses and even creates exclusives items for the famous Harrods in London.
